Interface and Visual Customization
Your health tracking environment should be comfortable and accessible. Navigate to Settings > Preferences to tailor the application's foundational behavior to your geographic region and personal workflow.
Light and Dark Themes
Whether you are logging an entry in the bright morning sun or during a late-night bathroom visit, visual comfort is essential. Happy Poop includes full support for both Light and Dark modes. You can manually toggle between these themes in the settings, or set the application to automatically mirror your device's system-wide display preferences. Utilizing Dark Mode is highly recommended for reducing eye strain in low-light environments and can also help conserve battery life on devices with OLED screens.
Global Localization (35 Languages)
Digestive health is a universal metric, and our platform is built for a global audience. The application has been meticulously localized into 35 different languages. Furthermore, you can adjust the calendar's First Day of the Week to match your regional standard, and toggle the global time format between standard 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour military time.
Other customizations
- Theme Selection: Enable or disable Dark Theme to reduce eye strain in low-light environments.
- Calendar Style: Choose between a "Minimalist" calendar view for a clean look, or a "Complete" view for maximum data density.
- Color Profiles: Customize the core background color of the application interface.
- Bristol Icons: Toggle whether the visual representations of the Bristol Stool Scale are displayed on your logs and charts.
Ultimate Privacy: Discrete Mode
We understand that digestive health is a highly personal topic. While tracking this data is beneficial for your medical well-being, you may not want the application visibly broadcasting its purpose on your device's home screen or app drawer, especially if you frequently share your phone with friends or family.
To provide peace of mind, Happy Poop allows you to mask the application's presence on your device.
- Change the App Name and Icon: Rename the application on your home screen to "Happy Diary". (only supported on Android) and swaps the default application icon for a inconspicuous alternative Notepad icon.
- Lock Application: This feature requires biometric authentication (fingerprint/Face ID) or a PIN to open the app, this ensures that your health data remains completely invisible and inaccessible to anyone but you.
Monetization and Ad Removal
Happy Poop is provided as a free application. To support the ongoing server costs, cloud infrastructure, and continuous development of new features, the free version includes non-intrusive advertisements.
The One-Time Donation Upgrades
If you prefer an uninterrupted, ad-free experience, we offer a straightforward solution. Users can make a One-Time Donation to permanently remove all advertisements from the application.
Because this donation is tied to your registered Happy Poop account, the ad-free experience follows you wherever you log in. If you purchase the ad removal on your Android phone, and later log into the web dashboard or switch to an iOS device, your account will remain permanently ad-free across all platforms. It is a single, lifetime upgrade to thank you for supporting the platform's development. 💩
Local Backups and Data Migration
While an account provides cloud syncing, you are never locked into our servers. By navigating to Settings > Backup, you access the Export/Import suite.
You can generate custom exports by selecting a specific time interval and choosing exactly which data sets you want included. You can export this as a PDF for medical professionals, or as a CSV file for your own spreadsheet analysis.
JSON Backups and App Migration
If you prefer to operate entirely offline without an account, you can export your entire database as a JSON file. This serves as a complete local backup that you can manually transfer to a new device and import to restore your history. Additionally, Happy Poop's import engine is designed to read the backup files generated by several other competing poop-tracking applications, allowing you to migrate your historical data into the Happy Poop ecosystem effortlessly.
